It’s Christmas Time
It is difficult to operate a laptop and have a cat in a singular although quite ample lap. When Nancy is gone the cat becomes very affectionate; my main occupation is pandering to the cat. Nancy does travel often, sometimes by choice, but mostly for work. She plans her own schedule, so it does allow some flexibility. When she is home in her office her time is spent on the phone, often for most of a day. The other morning she came into the kitchen with her headset on, I assumed she was seeking tea, as she often is. I turned down the radio, waited so I could grind the coffee beans, listening as she carried on about work. Finally after a couple of minutes (maybe five), she seemed to be quiet and staring at me. I asked are you talking to me? I promised I had been listening attentively, but often our days at home are spent with her talking to someone, my being observant, but quiet. She needs a light; the old headset had a green light when the phone line was active. It did give her an alien appearance.
In October, Nancy went on a trip with Ellen Pill to Ortigia, Sicily. Ellen’s daughter was doing a study aboard in Ortigia. If you want to see photos, become her facebook friend. Nancy Horney Davis, not a lot of those among the Nancy Davis’ of the world. If you need travel advice Nancy is a good source of info.
