Turning the Frantic Family into A Fulfilling Family
We felt like we didn’t have much experience to offer as everyone had older children. Our kids had not stayed out past curfew. Our son had never sassed us; he had never said anything but goo. So we mostly listened.
We referred to the class as the Beat’em Group. We didn’t feel we could say we thought children could learn discipline without beatings, but now we can.
Nancy being the marvelous organized and structured parent had time out methods and ways to earn rewards for good behavior. I had the “sure if you want to climb on the roof, I’ll get the ladder.”
Well both Erik and Alex are past 21, alive and uninjured; it looks like they soon will both have college degrees, and Erik has a job. So I guess as parents that is about all you can ask.
