... Thursday June 18th A storm tears through Elmwood between 4 and 5 AM. People get up to no power, spotty cell phones, and tree limbs everywhere.

Thursday morning a clean up in Central Park by many volunteers Walt Avery and Brian Coulter helped organize the effort.

Friday June 19th Clean up continues power returns to downtown about 9 pm.

Saturday June 20th park is raked of small sticks Community Band is notified the Sunday evening concert can go on. Power returns to most all of Elmwood by 5 PM. Park looks much as it did before the storm.

Sunday June 21st Most people become aware of X's on trees at band concert. Many question why most of the trees marked are healthy trees. People ask if anything can be done to help decide the future of the park?

Monday June 22nd Tree removal begins at 8 AM. This is the beginning of nearly two weeks of cutting, grinding, leveling, and seeding. Angry comments start coming at the velocity of Thursday's wind and many people are very depressed. ...
