Cmas letter 2009
Alex is a junior at Knox College, http://www.knox.edu/ . He is doing well Knox’s losing football season (1-9) being the most stressful thing this fall. Nancy is working out at a gym getting in shape. She continues to complain about her hurting heels. She loves working for Mosaic, http://www.mosaicinfo.org/, travels to Connecticut, Delaware, Indiana, and Omaha frequently, but works out of a home office when not on the road. Almost all are resort destinations. Actually, Nancy was surprised to learn how nice Connecticut and Delaware are; she had never been to either state before her job required it. I have sold Elmnet, although the deal won’t be ended until next May. I have much less stress in my life, and more time to take up the prophet gig. I am trying to make Elmwoodil.org a promotion for Elmwood; it may take a prophet to overcome so many obstacles.
Alex in a long season
I really enjoy Erik and Alex; they are very good friends. Both of them are good to participate so fully in our church, Elmwood UMC, http://www.elmwoodumc.org/ . Erik has been an active member of the building committee. I enjoy singing with them in our choir. I enjoyed the community Christmas cantata; they were great vocal supports. I even enjoy their ridicule of the contemporary Christian band I sing in. It is called “Closer to Free”, but to the boys it will always be the “Crucified Bears”. Neither of them has a girlfriend. A father who didn’t get married until he was thirty shouldn’t make too much of this.
